Filtraduo - Marine Hatch and Window Blinds
Filtraduo is a double unit consisting of one opaque blind and one perforated roller blind specifically designed & manufactured for yachts & boats, being constructed from marine grade materials such as 18/10 stainless steel, anodised aluminium, and wipe clean plastics.

The following standard sizes are normally carried in stock at our Hayling sales office

The blinds are individually packed by the manufacturer in light cardboard boxes. The following is a guide to carriage and packing charges to mainland destinations across most of the United Kingdom; please ask about the Scottish highlands, offshore islands etc.

If the perforated material lies flat against a projecting hatch lip, it will form a self sealing mosquito net. Plastic tracks will initially give a better seal against light and insects, but are rarely practical in a yacht, as the blinds are more difficult to operate after a little use, and prone to blowing or dropping out of their tracks, causing the material to become damaged.

A range of five quality double roller blinds designed to be used with most standard hatches, as well as windows and portholes.

The first roller carries an opaque blind that can be used to keep the compartment dark during the day, act as a sun shield or provide security and privacy at night.

The second blind has a thousand perforations, providing shade and one way vision during the day, and if correctly installed giving insect free ventilation night and day.

Both the blind and screen have a pale cream outer face that reflects the heat and the suns’ rays, keeping the cabin cool. The inner face is a deep blue

Both pretensioned rollers are mounted on a single stainless frame permitting quick and simple installation by means of two screws. One more screw holds the retaining clip on the far side of the hatch aperture, and the final four screws the off-white cover in place. The cover need not be used where the Filtraduo is installed behind a head lining or pelmet

Marine grade materials are used in the construction. The basic mechanism has been perfected over 20 years of testing and use in yachts and boats.
