The heat exchanger is AISI 316L grade stainless steel with the large surface area for which ATI are renowned, as marine applications necessitate minimum engine or generator set running times. The stainless theme continues through to the 1.2 Kilowatt electrical heater element made from ‘Incaloy’, which is complete with adjustable thermostat for automatic 230V operation, and a safety cut out.

You will find that this quality comes at a very competitive price, which includes the electrical heater element, adjustable thermostat, safety/drain valve and stainless steel mounting brackets.

These rugged water heaters have the ability to operate at pressures up to four times atmosphere, which is probably twice the operating pressure of most marine domestic water pumps. They are tested at 8 times atmospheric pressure (116 psi).

All models grant high performances and efficiency, being equipped with the following components:

• tank in AISI 316L stainless steel
• AISI 316L stainless steel heat exchanger: its large exchange surface allows a huge production of hot water exploiting at best the heat of the cooling water coming from the boat engine (even with very small temperature differences);
• heat exchanger surface area: 1.530cm2
• electrical heater element: a 220 Volt ~ 50 Hz incoloy heater element (outputs available = 800 and 1200 W) equipped with an adjustable and safety thermostat, allows hot water production even when the boat engine is off;
• insulation: a thick foam of expanded polyurethane with closed cells reduces heat loss to 1°C per hour within 24 hours
• external casing: it is in stainless steel (BRIGHT TYPE) that is a material resistant to saltiness;
• stainless steel mounting brackets: they ensure a strong stable and easy installation;
• safety valve: it protects the tank from possible excessive pressure.
