The water tank is made from steel for strength, and the inside is then coated in glass at extremely high temperatures, completely insulating the tank and its welds from the water being heated. This means that the potential corrosion problems experienced on the welds of calorifiers and on the brazing of copper tanks is completely removed.
The outer casing is made from anodised aluminum and plastic, a combination that is highly resistant to corrosion and mildew formation during the winter shut down. Twenty millimetres of expanded polyurethane is injected into the cavity between the inner and outer casings.
The price includes either a 500, 800 or 1200 watts electrical heating element (2 ¼ Amps), please specify when ordering. The heater has a user adjustable thermostat to set the water temperature, which has a safety thermostat built in to avoid over heating. Also included in the price are the two stainless steel mounting brackets and safety pressure relief valve.
The heater can be mounted either horizontally or vertically, with the water and electrial connections at the top or bottom. This is achieved by simply reversing the water flow through the calorifier.
